This article is about, how North Korea Needs economic help, China, is there leading helping hand. Instead of being grateful for the Chinese, so when North Korean officials came to China, they demanded gifts and prostitutes. But in the end, North Korea annulled the help from China, and "'used violent methods"' against them.
The similarities of what the two authors are saying is that North Korea desperately needs help. Another similarity is how North Koreans dislike to receive help from other countries.
The differences in what the two authors are saying is how North Korea desperately needs help. In the book it says that-in not direct words- North Korea needs help with there government, there "freedom", and much more. While the article only focuses on the economy. Another difference- in the article- is saying how selfish North Koreans can be, when they were being demanding.

Article title: "North Korean Dictator Making Exit Deadly"
Title of web site: " North Korean Christians.com"
Date of article: Mar.06,2008
Date read: Aug.19, 2012
URL:(http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1719917,00.html)
This article is about how North Korean try to escape into the lands of China or South Korea, for a better life. The ones who don't try to escape, are the ones who are lucky. Or not since the government is so strict. But the ones who do escape, are captured and killed or chosen to spend time in prison for a long time. This the article says, is an example for the ones who have thought of leaving. Also the people who are against the dictatorship in the North, are helping the people who are escaping, with such things as, living environments.
The similarities of what the author of the book and of the article are saying, is that North Korea is very strict. In living, working, and in freedom.
The differences on what the two authors are say is that the author of the book, gives some freedom of North Korea. when he talks about his trips to different places. So i guess they have a little liberty. The opposite of what the author of the article is saying. Of how North Korea really doesn't have any freedom, because of the killing's that happens when some tries to go and live a better life.

Assignment Four
Book Two: "Pyongyang A Journey In North Korea"
By: Guy Delisle
My book is about an American-the author-who, goes to North Korea, to help with a cartoon that will soon be televised. We all know that North Korea, is one of the most strictest countries in the world, so when he got there,he couldn't have a tour. Well at least not right away. He described that there were separate hotels for tourists and same with the floors in the hotel. Which i was surprised by. Also wherever he went, he had to have a tour guide. People in that country have not listened to types of music beats, like techno! The author, when he was with his tour guide, he asked him something like: You've never listened to this before? And that's when he started to reenact beats-which didn't help explain that type of music.
The rhetorical triangle applies to the book by, the character knowing what he's talking about. Well because he's in the country. Secondly the triangle applies by, knowing that whoever would read his book, they would receive new and surprising information about another country. For example me, I thought that North Korea was strict but not so strict that where you only have two channels on T.V. in your hotel room, in which both are educational! Finally the triangle applies to the book by, the author knowing what character he had to portray toward his audience. He knew when to give advice, to give facts, and when to be funny. Which made the book more interesting.

Assignment Two
I think that the author's audience, is the type who are into past and present political issues and who are just wanting to hear nice stories, about assassinated presidents.
I think the authors subject, is to make the interested past and present political issued people, join her side-if they are not already. On how past assassinated presidents had "sickened" the world- Lincoln, because when he died, America lost an incredible leader, the one who led slavery to be abolished in America-and how it "healed" the world William McKinley in how he united South America and North America, with the "Pan-American Exposition". And how past problems can become present ones: 'When I told my friend that I was writing about the McKinley administration, he turned up his nose and asked', "why the **** would anyon want to read about that?" page.205. "Oh, I don't know," 'I answered'. "Maybe because we seem to be reliving it?" page 207.
Sarah Vowell as a speaker, to me is someone who is strong in what she writes, because of the many facts she puts in. Also the same with her opinions: 'Looking on the long term effects of the McKinley occupation of the former spanish colonies i can't say I'm particularly optimisctic about the coming decades in Iraq. The very facy that we call it the Spanish-American war hints that Cuban revolutionary hero Jose Marti worried, "Once the United States is in Cuba, who will drive them out?" page 207.

Assignment One Continued
The character is one who-like I have said before-knows what she's talking about. She has done her research. She is also one who takes different turns to make her audience stay interested in her writing.
The reason this character was picked, was because she is one who can keep her audience awake. She also exceeds in adventure. Like when she and one of her friends, traveled the route that Booth took when he fled the theater Abraham Lincoln was shot in.
The details that the author is focusing on is to keep her book moving. For example, the Lincoln assassination.
With her stories, background information, opinions, and jokes I thought that the whole book was going to be based on that killing only. That's how good she kept moving. So i was surprised when chapter two was about another president assassination: James A. Garfield.
The different pieces of writing are the authors opinions, her facts, the different flashbacks, the jests, and the adventurous roads she followed. Each piece had its day to shine, and anyway it shined, meant that the author had done her job, in that form of persuasion and of keeping her audience.

Assignment One
Book One: "Assassination Vacation"
By: Sarah Vowell
Part One:
The first half of my book is about how the story of th late president Abraham Lincoln, was assassinated. The author does a great job on breaking down how the killing went down. With the inclusion of her descriptive details, she also gives the audience great background information on the murderee. John Wilkes Booth.
Part Two:
The rhetorical triangle applies to my book by, the author being a good speaker. For example, how she knows the exact plan on how John Wilkes Booth, killed Lincoln. And knowing the escape route he took after killing Lincoln.
The subject which the author is dealing with is, to try to get who ever is reading her book to be interested, in her writing. And to maneuver her style of writing to make it interesting and comfortable in who is reading. Like when for example, she switches from joking to a background story.
Also the triangle applies by, she knowing that her audience could be anyone, therefore instead of her just putting facts-like columns on a newspaper- she puts her opinions, interesting stories that leads up to the assassination, and jokes which means that not only did she catch the attention of the people who are interested in past news, but also people who are interested in biographies, and people who need a little funny in what they read.
And finally, the triangle applies by- like i have mentioned before-knows how to change character, for each
audience she might encounter. By knowing when to just put facts, opinions, jokes, or all three.
